What is a Doula?

Evening Meetings are held the second Sunday of each month at:

Lila Yoga,
Dharma, and Wellness Center
302 Bowery #2
between Bleecker and Houston

5:30-8:00 PM

$10/per person

Each month we have meetings where doulas can openly share their birth stories, experiences and ask questions in a supportive environment. New doulas, experienced doulas and women interested in becoming doulas are welcome to join our circle. Speakers from the birth community often come to our meetings to share their knowledge and wisdom with us.

An open sharing evening of birth stories and favorite paperwork and resources: Is there something you find really useful in your work as a doula? Something you think will be useful to your sisters? Please bring either a great resource or some paperwork you you'de like to share...or both! If you don't have something on hand bring a birth story to share.

Ellen Chuse will join the MDG for the second time, presenting a Doula Healing Circle. This is a healing ritual created for our community by someone who understands our work, it's stresses and it's joys. It's a session to celebrate the year gone by and let go of any pain or disappointment you may have experienced in your doula work. Expect a quiet, focused session.
We ask that you leave children with a care giver for this and only this session.
Fee: There will be a TBA suggested donation for non-members. Members are free
